Descaling indicator

If the descaling indicator goes on, it means that the steam generator iron requires scale and mineral deposit removal. To descale the appliance follow the instructions of the Cleaning and Maintenance section. As soon as scale and mineral deposit removal is over, the indicator will go off.

Filling indicator

As soon as the tank does not have enough water for perfect operation, this indicator will go on, and the steam generator iron will emit a single audio alarm and go off. This means water shall be added to the tank. To do this, remove the water tank and fill it with water via a water filling opening. Make sure the water level is between the MIN and MAX marks, then install the water tank in its place.

Prior to first use

Filling the detachable tank with water

•     Fill the water tank with water via the water filling opening in it.Make sure the water level is between the MIN and MAX marks at the appliance casing.
•     Heat up the iron to the maximal temperature and then iron a piece of wet fabric to remove any odds from the soleplate.
•     When you switch on the steam generator iron for the first time, it might emit a specific smell. Elements of the device are heating up, and the smell will cease after a while.
•     During the first use, the iron soleplate might emit flakes, particles or dirt. It is okay - the particles are harmless and will cease emitting in a while. Use wet cloth to remove them.
•     During the first use, the steam generator iron might make pumping sounds. This is the sound of water supplied to the steam generator iron and is not a fault.
•     During the heatup process, the soleplate might emit steam, and it is okay. This can continue for 3 seconds, ceasing afterwards.
•     In case the issues described above do not cease after a while, please address an authorized service center for inspection.•To prevent early scaling, please use distilled water.

Using the appliance

Dry ironing

•     Put the iron on the heat-insulating platform.
•     Plug the device into the mains and press the power button. The appliance will make a single audio alarm, and the power indicator will go on. The temperature indicator at the soleplate will go on, and the iron will start heating up.
•     Rotate the temperature regulator to select the necessary regime depending on the type of fabric (check Key Advice and Soleplate temperature and steam power modes sections).
•     As soon as the soleplate temperature reaches the selected limit, the temperature indicator will go off, and you will be able to proceed to ironing.

Steam ironing

•     Put the steam generator ironing on a stable and even surface.
•     Remove the water tank and fill it with water via the water filling opening. It is better to use purified water with low calcium concentration. Maximal capacity of the water tank is 1.8 liters. The water level shall remain between the MIN and MAX marks. Put the filled water tank back into the appliance as provided in the user manual.
•     Put the iron on the heat-insulating platform.
•     Plug the device into the mains and press the power button. The appliance will make a single audio alarm, and the power indicator will go on. The temperature indicator at the soleplate will go on, and the iron will start heating up. The default setting is low steam power.
•     Rotate the temperature regulator to select the necessary regime depending on the type of fabric (check Key Advice and Soleplate temperature and steam power modes sections).

At steam ironing, the soleplate temperature mode should match the selected steam power:
•     high steam power - MAX temperature mode;
•     average steam power - 3rd temperature mode;
•     low steam power - the lowest temperature mode for steam ironing.

•     Water in the steam generator iron will heatup, and in a couple of minutes the temperature indicator will go off, indicating that the soleplate temperature has reached the level selected. When the steam output indicator stops flashing and changes to continuous lighting, the iron is ready for ironing.
•     Press the steam output button with a slight effort for steam to emit from the soleplate continuously. Now you can proceed to steam ironing of your clothes.

Burst of steam:

As soon as the device heats up and is ready for operation, press and hold the steam output button. The first burst of steam is the most powerful one.

•     After you finish, press the power button and hold it for about 2 seconds for the device to switch off and all of its indicators to go off.  Unplug the appliance from the mains. As the iron soleplate is still hot, do not touch it - put it on the heat-insulating platform and leave until it cools down completely.
•     The steam generator iron can be used for vertical steaming. For that, set the soleplate heatup to the maximum. Choose the high or average steam power. Put your clothes on a hanger and hold the iron vertically, pressing the steam output button to steam your clothes vertically.

Note:

Vertical steaming is possible only as long as you use the maximal steam power and the maximal soleplate heatup mode. If the temperature is lower than the parameter set, water can drip during steam output. It is okay.

Attention:

Right after heatup, as well as after long breaks in the steam generator iron operation drips of water might emit from the soleplate during ironing. This is caused by the condensate accumulated in the steam hose being emitted with the steam under pressure.Such emission is short-term: water drops are emitted once and do not appear until the next cooling down.
•     Do not touch the hot soleplate until it cools down completely.
•     Do not direct the steam flow towards people.
•     The steam supply hose can heat up during lasting operation.

Cord winding groove

When the device is out of use, the steam hose and the power cord can be wound along the cord winding groove for storage.

Automatic switch off

The device automatically switches off in 10 minutes if no steam is emitted from the soleplate. To restart the device, press the power button again.

Iron platform retainer

Put the iron on the heat-insulating platform and move the iron retainer into position «сlosed lock» to fix the iron on the platform. To remove the iron, move the lock into position «open lock». Now you can remove the iron and proceed to ironing. You can only lift up the steaming station by the handle after you properly fix the iron on the steam generator base (see the picture below)

Cleaning and Maintenance

•     Wipe flakes and any other deposits on the soleplate with a wet cloth or nonabrasive (liquid) detergent.
•     Wipe the upper part of the iron with a soft wet cloth. Use a dry cloth to wipe water remaining on the appliance base and the heat-insulating platform.

Warning:

Do not use chemical, steel, wooden tools or abrasive detergents to clean the soleplate.

As soon as the overall steam output time reaches the nominal level, the descaling indicator will go on. When it happens, do the following:
1. Unplug the steam generator iron from the mains and let it cool down completely.
2. Remove the detachable tank.
3. Turn the steam generator iron upside down and untighten the water emptying valve.
4. Empty water from the internal boiler of the steam generator iron.
5. Turn the steam generator iron upside down once again and fill in clean water into the water emptying opening.
6. Hold the steam generator iron with your both hands and shake it several times.
7. Empty water from the boiler once again and tighten the valve.
8. Put the steam generator iron into its regular position and put back the detachable water tank after filling it with clean water.
9. Set the soleplate heatup temperature to the minimum.
10. Connect the steam generator iron to the mains, switch it on and wait from 30 to 180 seconds. The steam generator iron will be pumping water, and then the descaling indicator will go off. In case the filling indicator will go on, add some water to the detachable tank and repeat the steps described herein.

You should repeat this procedure at least once a month or after every 10 liters of water used to prevent damaging of the appliance and ensure its perfect performance during operation.

Basic Advice

•     Before ironing, always check if the clothes you are going to iron have a label with ironing instructions. Always follow these ironing instructions.
•     The iron heats up faster than it cools down, so it is a good idea to start with ironing of the goods that require the lowest temperature mode, like the ones made of synthetic fiber.
•     If the fabric is made of different fibers, always choose the lowest ironing temperature appropriate.
•     Silk and other fabrics that are likely to become glossy after ironing shall be ironed on the inside.
•     Corduroy and other fabrics that are likely to become glossy shall be ironed in the same direction with a slight effort. Always hold the iron towards the ironing direction.
•     Wool fabrics (100% iron) can be ironed with the steam iron. We recommend setting the temperature regulator to the maximal mode and use a dry cloth as a barrier.
•     Ironing of wool fabrics can make them glossy. This is why you should turn your garments inside out and iron them on the inside.
•     Never iron over zippers sewed into the fabric. This is harmful for the soleplate. Make sure to iron only around such elements.
